I applied a few months back and got nothing then I applied again and got a call within two days for an interview the next day so I agreed. I went in for cap2 (unloading trucks and stocking) and the interviewer asked me 2 perhaps 3 quick questions and told me to sign some papers and fill out a background check to get-go working. Groovy article, I must say that Walmart has the worst recruitment procedure of any company I accept ever seen, and I have been in big format retail direction for 14 years.
Information technology is so shockingly bad that even though I was offered a well paid position, I turned it down for lower pay at another company that had a much more welcoming culture.
In summary
Nil communication from anyone at the company until after the interview
Broken application process, not-functional website.
Poorly constructed examination questions, no option to fifty-fifty apply without passing comprehensive testing.
Inaccurate data in email templates, incorrect locations and time zones for interviews.
Massive delays in the process, one month or longer.
Overall, a demoralizing process, indicative of the culture of the visitor.
Their Canadian recruitment portal (managed past brassring) is very poorly laid out, and the formatting makes the links difficult to come across, particularly when viewed on a telephone or tablet. 48 hours before the interview I received another Do-not-answer electronic mail, confirming the location was in Toronto, not Vancouver, and again confirming the time as 8am EST (5am PST). It advised to arrive x mins early and go to the customer service desk. It did not suggest to bring or set up anything.
The email was addressed "Dear ," indicating that even their form information is not correctly mapped to their electronic mail templates. An amateur fault, it is clear that no one has audited or tested their online portal.

I am in the process of taking the Wal Mart assestment test for the 2nd time I failed the exam the last time and had to look half dozen months. I was am told remember like wal mart. i have studied and found answers to aid me on her to pass but some of the questions are different then the ones I have constitute from people who pased information technology. I applied for a stocking/cs position, basically anywhere they needed someone, and then far, despite passing the background check, they nevertheless haven't calledme in for orientation. The 60 minutes mgr at my store says they haven't received my file from 'corporate' withal. I called the 3rd political party company that does the groundwork checks: Sertling, and they said information technology's automatically sent to corporate. I tin can't go ahold of anyone at corporate to verify this, There'southward no contact number for that dept? I filled out awarding online for pharmacy tech with NO experience back in early Feb, 2017. Chemist's shop Manager called me two days subsequently. Interviewed next day. Pretty much got job on the spot. Now I am a pharmacy tech there. They pay to put you in pharmacy tech training.
I love it. Merely, the hours are all over the place. 24 one week. 9 the next. I put a stop to that. The days I am not at my store, i go to some other to aid out.
After six months, you lot can transfer to another store which I may do. I like the store I help out in improve.

Last Dominicus, I sent in my awarding to work at Walmart. I called in yesterday to make an appointment to come in today for my interview. I got accustomed. This article basically explained everything but the orientation part is a scrap different. For the location I applied at, they told me that the Orientation will be three days to a week. The offset day is paperwork and the 2nd twenty-four hours is a group piece of work/participation. The procedure is a bit dissimilar just overall it's relaxing to know that the article is similar.
Basically, in one case you lot pass the interview and is getting the preparation or orientation and so you lot're basically in unless you lot did something that caused y'all to not get the job.

I recently got hired at walmart. I did the starting time interview. Then a week later I got called in to sign all the papers and receive the job offer. I have done the background screening and at present just waiting for a recall for orientation. I'chiliad simply worried nigh the references function. The lady hiring me said I just need to telephone call these references to verify you piece of work there. So I had to explain to her that the temp agency who I worked for terminated me a few years dorsum for some stupid misunderstanding that couldn't be resolved. I practical for a pharm tech position with no experience. About 2 weeks later, I received a telephone call to go in for an interview. I'm guessing the pharmacist already like my application and resume, so he and the lead pharm tech didn't even interview me. They but asked about availability, my math skills, and gave an insight of what I would be doing as a tech. They asked me to jump on board and personel started the paperwork for me. The girls in personel were actually surprised I was hired right on with no experience, so I was pretty lucky. Filled out some paperworks, then I was given directions to become practise my drug test. At present but waiting for the telephone call to go in for orientation!

Interesting read. I worked in Management for Walmart for some time. Very like to the interviews nosotros conducted at my location with a few small differences. Nosotros never did a second interview and in many cases the manager never conducted an interview it was left solely to Personnel and Customer Service Managers and they interviewed every bit a panel. I applied at Walmart with a college degree and 12 yrs as an administrative assistant at top medical school and enquiry center. I was worn out from years at a estimator, behind a desk, having too many bosses, and having to wear business attire every 24-hour interval. I wanted a chore where I could exist on my feet basically doing work that required little thought. I only wanted function fourth dimension piece of work, any schedule.

I was treated fairly and with respect at Kroger.

Yeah...3 days of orientation is not right. Applied to Walmart a month ago. Got called in for an interview, approved on the outset interview, background check for two days, started orientation and was told "you'll be on the floor afterward a week of computer training." Three days in I am told "you have all of adjacent week in the back doing computer modules. Later on that calendar week you'll exist on the flooring." I have yet to practise grooming for the position I was told I was getting, and the system keeps maxim I did not complete modules, then I accept to take them over even when I get 100% the first time.

I put in my app, passed the exam. Got called in for a interview nigh a calendar week later on. I did my 1st interview, and so 2 minutes later my 2nd interview. They offered me a spot as a role time cashier, i accustomed we filled out the paper piece of work, and sent off my background check!
Its been most v days and i all the same havent heard back. But when you are offered a position and fill out newspaper work you pretty much take the job unless your drug screening or groundwork cheque doesnt clear so we but need to be patient!! I know it sucks waiting we all want to start shortly but the process earlier start date is about 2 weeks so if y'all dont hear back in two weeks then start worrying and making some telephone calls lol take a nice day

Applying for Walmart in Canada or The states, can take two months from online to getting your first schedule. If y'all demand a job asap I would suggest find another company. Walmart is a skilful company to piece of work for only they have their time through the hiring process and getting your first work day after orientation.

I put in my application on the fifteen of September and I got a call on the eighteen to come in for an interview. I went to the Walmart and I had my offset interview, thought they were going to requite me a second interview but they didn't. The director that did my interview said, I passes my interview. Afterwards he told me to get wait outside expect until he calls me again. Two minutes afterwards, he came dorsum and called me in. He fabricated me sign papers and get through all the process of working at Walmart. Then he gave me a paper and was told to become get my DRUG Exam and make sure to do information technology right away or else I am not getting the chore. They assure me that I had the task and supposely waiting for my drug exam result and my background checked. It's been a month now and I am nevertheless waiting for a call. I have been trying to call the personnel merely they keep on putting me ON HOLD or they said there's no one available. Ane solar day I had to become in and asked them myself. They said they don't have enought computers and son on for the new employees. Smh what should I do? Should I look for some other week? I got schedule an interview with the assistant shop manager and asked would I accept a cashier position and I said yes. Went to the interview, interviewed with a shift manager, first interview and he stated don't come across why we can't hire you, he stated he was gone send it through. Was told to come dorsum the following morn filled out background papers, no drug screened . was told I will be recall for orientation once the dorsum ground check clears notwithstanding haven't heard zilch then does that hateful I didn't become the job.

I went to an interview today. It went great, got asked about 5-7 questions and answered them properly. I felt as if the managing director was interested in me. After the interview she brought in a couple of papers and fabricated me sign them and fill them out. One of them included something about 90 days. The others was background check. She even fabricated me sign this paper that included how much I would get paid. Afterwards we finished it off maxim I will get a call back soon for all the new hired workers to come on a specific day. I'm bold it'southward that orientation thing. She took a photo copy of my Drivers license and service card besides including my social insurance number. Later I left at present waiting for the phone call back for the date. I'm just wondering why didn't I get a drug examination? I'chiliad wondering if she got the information from my medical carte or something? Do you guys recall I got the job??

Going through the procedure right at present-
Called for the '1st interview' - asked 5 questions or and then about prior feel in the work force- here are two examples of what I was asked:
"Share a time when y'all disagreed with a co-worker and how did y'all get near it?"
"List a time when yous went up and beyond to assist out a client".
Anyways the managing director told me I passed the interview and that they would similar to offer me the job that solar day if they could get a hold of my references (you need 2 references- does not have to be piece of work related) That 24-hour interval they could non go a hold of either of my references and then I left the building feeling a bit bummed out. Merely after calling them dorsum a day or two later- and giving them another reference number- they chosen me back saying they want me in for a 'Task Offering' ..
Now is this 'Chore Offering" but another interview or am I non having a second interview like so many of you who take posted said y'all had to do? I will notice out..
Not certain if this 'Job Offer' is when I'll exist getting drug tested or non only nosotros shall shortly find out..

Applied online concluding week. Sabbatum night, I received a call from one the of managers asking me to come in for an interview on Sun morning. I showed up, sat through TWO different interviews, and was then sent on my way. They promised they would check my references and get dorsum to me. Monday morning, I was chosen back to sign paperwork and expect over my job responsibilities; subsequently, they sent me for a drug test. A few hours subsequently, I get another call from a manager at Walmart asking me to come in on Thursday for orientation.
Am I officially hired?

I applied at Wal-Mart on the 15th(07-15-2014), I received a call for an interview on (07/19/2014). I went into Wal-Mart on 07/21/2014), I received Two interviews that solar day. Office One was with but i employee, Part Two was with 2 Employees and an assistant manager. Betwixt both interviews I was asked to footstep out of the room and wait to be called dorsum in. After the first interview, I came back, received my 2nd interview.. Then, they all came out and told me that I'd exist working in 'Apparel' to go back to the room and fill out paper work, I exited Wal-Mart with a drug screen paper.. Was told I ha 24 hours to get that done, went to the hospital to be drug tested... I received a phone call the next day (07/22/2014) for a 'Job Offer' they then showed me how much I would brand, what I would be doing, etc... I was told to come back the next mean solar day (07/23/2014) for orientation. This will be my first job, no experience. Also during interview 1, I got asked 4-half-dozen questions. The second interview, I got asked the same questions just with three people evaluating me. The job offer was done with the shift managing director, tomorrow I practice orientation, so I am completely unsure as to if what this commodity say is true. I did 2 interviews in ane 24-hour interval.. accepted the job offer after reading the job description, pay, hours on the calculator. I signed background cheque papers and did the deug screen. I did all of this on a Thursday it is now Midweek (near a week later). I chosen and she said background check is however pending. How long does information technology take for walmart to get background checks done? I use to do background checks nosotros had a quick plough around. I know i have a clean tape. Simply ready to work.

I started Orientation today. I got my "badge" with name and filled out forms and did the Revenue enhancement thing on the computer. Does this mean that they already saw my Groundwork Cheque? It was quick. 3 days later they called me to showtime Orientation. Practise hey only start you for Orientation if you cleared the Groundwork? OR they tin hire you still without BC? HR person did not mention annihilation like, the BC's are still awaiting so if it comes back with problems, you guys will get terminated. My BC has nothing as well bad realy, but I practise take arrests from back in the days. IF anyone tin shed light I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

I went through my three interviews & was offered a position as chemist's shop tech. My drug test came back fine but the merely affair I am waiting on is my background check. I did an FBI background check & a week after they said I need a state background check so I go & practice that & am still waiting on my fbi to come through, 2 and half weeks later on they call me & say they still have not received it, & say they called the mail office & that it was at that place unclaimed so they had them send it back out. I chosen the groundwork check number & they confirmed that information technology was unclaimed & walmart contacted them to take information technology sent dorsum out. That was Mon & now information technology is Friday & they just called to let me know that they have non forgot nigh me & are all the same waiting on both background checks. I have no record & the address they were to be sent to was confirmed so I exercise not know if walmart is trying to give me the run around until they find somebody to have my position. They are hiring 200 employees for a new walmart opening up & that is the one I applied to so I don't know what gives. Hopefully they are received adjacent calendar week. I paid for my ain backgrounds and so if they make up one's mind they do not want to hire me they still owe me a reimbursement fee of xc dollars for me paying.

I but interviewed for Sam's Club on wednesday (June/2013). I had the kickoff interview, then was asked if i minded waiting a few minutes for the second interview. I of course said I didn't mind. Had the 2nd interview, then was told almost the job duties, hours, and what I'd be paid. Signed some paperwork, verified my data was correct, and then sent off for a drug examination. Was told it would take about vii to ten business days for them to get back to me.
My friend who worked for the aforementioned sam's club said it took them about a week to call her back for orientation and a schedule.
And then, i guess i'll wait a week and so and call them to see what they say.

I know that I was Tier 1 as well...I filled out the store app. & after ii wks was called for the 1st interview. She definitely told me that I was going to be getting 2 more interviews & STILL nothing from them. Going to exist two months since, and so I figured don't hold my exhale for them to telephone call

I was called for an interview a few days ago. I filled out some paperwork, so had an interview with the manager and was asked 5 scenario questions and on each was asked to name a state of affairs where it was applied or handled it at any chore I worked at. After that I filled out a groundwork check paper and then was handed an Inventory Associate sheet that I signed. While going through all of this I figured I was pretty much hired and I am as long as I past a drug screen, which I did and laissez passer a background check which I am waiting on. The manager said it could take three days to two weeks and non to worry if non called in a few days. Merely I know I'll laissez passer information technology, so not worried after that I will be chosen for orientation and I'll piece of work from 4pm to 1am. So information technology seems everywhere is different and thought mine was pretty simple compared to others I've read on here.

Each store does the interview hiring process slightly different. At my store, y'all become 1st interview usually with an hourly supervisor then the second interview with management; if yous pass those later they telephone call you in for background check, drug test, and they call your reference while waiting for the tests to come up back. after you successfully laissez passer them, they'll call you for a job offering and orientation is usually the post-obit. orientation is i 24-hour interval. from interview to orientation; 3 weeks... yeah my store is dull...

I was called to fix an interview on fri and set up it up for mon. Got there early and was seen . At that place questions were behavioral scenarios and about past experiences. I was a little nervouse and tried to hibernate it. I finished with my kickoff interview and was told to wait for a 2nd interview. About 15 minutes afterward had a second interview it seemed okay but i was told that they would call me back. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? I don't know if I got the task or non. I was there for and hr and xv minutes is that a good sign? I heard it was good to go a 2nd interview since it shows that they are interested in yous. Simply its been a day and still no response. UGH this is so much stress!!

Had my 1 st interview on March 1st. Asked me vii questions & we went over at least 6 pages of info (agreement of drug testing, hr availability & so on). Wasn't told about other applicants & the manager said that they will be calling me for the 2d interview.
Nevertheless waiting.
Would they call you either for the second interview or give thanks yous again & the position(s) are filled?
The manager said "Good Luck" to me along west/ five other workers.
Would that exist a good sign?

So this is how information technology went for me i practical for walmart like so many times during this yr 2012 ii weeks ago on weds morn i receive a call from them request me if i was able to come in for a job interview so i did when i went in i waited for like x minutes before i was seen by the dep manager she asked me like five to 6 simple questions... she said to me thank you for coming and said walmart would call me for another interview one solar day after they called me in for a 2d interview with the store manager and so i went in once again it was like 5 q's and it only took less then 30 min. and so at the end she asked if i had any questions for her so i asked if hired when volition i be contacted she said subsequently on today which meant friday or monday so ofcourse i went dwelling house waited that friday sat dominicus mon tues and finally wed morning i get a telephone call asking if i could come in for a 3 interview i said yes lol i thought i would exist hired after the 2nd interview.... that aforementioned day i went in i wait for similar 30 min so they make me read and sign some groundwork papers and stuff they give me a newspaper to go become a drug examination the young lady said i had 24 hours to have the test if not i would be discualified as a candidate for the position then equally of at present im waiting for them to phone call me back the girl said to me information technology would accept them about a week to get my drug and groundwork results i guess that afterwards that i will be set for orientation and then given my work schedule ???

so i had an interview today. nada like what anybody saying. i went in and basically she had me sign my app she prnted and told me the shifts that were available which was nighttime stocking and said she contact night management to get second interview. which curious after viewing the artcle hither. so basically why practise i demand to speek to dark direction when she the hiring manager well personal manager??? i am fully lost but hopefully something happens i need to take care of my children and want to work

i wasn't hired at minimum wage, the walmart i at present work for had a strict matter for having a criminal record and dirty drug screenings, they told me if i had any tearing crimes they would withdraw their task offer to me.

I am in the middle of the hiring procedure at Walmart. I started applying about nine months agone and reapplied every few months. A couple weeks agone I again reapplied and got a call for an interview. I had 2 dorsum to dorsum interviews with 2 different people who each asked me 5 like questions all of which had to do with my experience in how I accept dealt with conflict in my past. Nothing was asked about why they should hire me or what I could do for Walmart. I've been a stay at home mom for the past 20 years and so basically take no outside piece of work experience. I didn't call back I did that great on answering their questions either, but they called me back to set a chore offering and drug examination. Today I will be returning a missed phone call to them to set this up.
